I'm working on 4 models, two of which are already exsisting in a R&D build and sound amazing. A three way with SB Audience Bianco 15 slot loaded woofer, SB Acoustic bass mid woofer and Viawave ribbon tweeter is even playing every day at the RRC Vinyl record shop in Amsterdam. It runs on an active crossover Omnitronic xo-300 @ 80/2000hz. A custom active crossover board is in the works for the final active build with Hypex boards. The speaker is massive, with deep bass and very crystal clear mid and high range. A statement piece. More info soon!
The Builds:
#1 Open Baffle. Full range with Lii Audio 10 inch Music and a slot loaded Bass Woofer. SB Audience Bianco 12 inch for now, but will probably switch to the 15 inch. Tube for the full range, Hypex for the woofer. This will take another year to get ready for sale. It's currently in my living room being changed every other week until I'm absolutely 100% Satisfied. Also have to work on the tube amp, Van Der Veen design. Will be integrated below the baffle inside the speaker and visible.
#2 A 2 way with just Purifi drivers. Among the absolute best you can buy OEM. On a baffle of a composite material, a mix of clay and polyester, for absolute best acoustic dampening. 6.5 Bass mid woofer and the new Purifi tweeter with 147mm waveguide.
#3 Same as above, 2 way purifi build, but the smallest possible build for nearfield listening with the maximum sound quality. 4 inch woofer and tweeter with the 104mm waveguide.
#4 The one pictured below. 3 Way open baffle with slot loaded sub. 1/3 of the sd (woofers surface) in the front and 1/2 in the back making a dipole radiation patern which doesnt agitate the room as much. The slot loading also lowers the resonance frequency making the curve down to 20hz more smooth. TeXtreme (carbon fiber in a cool checkered design) bass/midrange woofer from SB Acoustics (which is the same company as SB Audience). The tweeter is a ribon tweeter from Viawave wich are known for a very linear frequency response all the way up to 20khz.
Also in the works:
A modular stereo rack with old school design and modern dampening and compression springs.
Acoustic decoupling platforms for your speakers with wheels. Made of different layers, pre design model already exists.
Will probably make the hypex multi channel amplification available for other people builds with active crossover on the input board.
Custom builds around specific drivers on request!! I have the woodwork and composite molding skills to make any enclosure and have people helping me with active or passive crossovers.
